Tis the season to be jolly, grateful and spreading peace and joy or……..feeling stressed, fried, ungrounded, overwhelmed, resentful etc. etc.. Who are you embodying at this point in the season? How do you want to be? If you were your favorite holiday cocktail what would you be and why? What would it take to shake yourself up, give yourself a nice stir and move in to that place of YUM!?
Holiday Bliss or Blues…Shake it up baby!

I’m vacillating between a hot toddy and a Douglas fir martini. Hot versus cold, what does that mean? The hot toddy ties into the warmth I feel surrounded by loved ones and memories of Christmases past. And I think the martini ties into the crispness of the usual weather and the wonderful smell of fir trees. Now I guess I just have to calm the neurons in my prefrontal cortex and get those neurons in the nucleus accumbens fired up to taste some yummy cocktails!
ABSOLUTELY love it!!!!!!!!!!
Blind Russian – lately my thoughts are a little murky with a taste for a little of everything. Prefer to have a glass of chardonnay where my thoughts are clear and my vison is crisp.
What would it take? Make well defined decision with a direction.
Ultimately, who do I want to be? …Me – exactly who I am suppose to be. 🙂
Brilliant!
I’ve been swaying back and forth between joyous and grateful to overwhelmed, distant and preoccupied. Rich, smooth hot chocolate in a cool pottery mug because it warms me from the inside out. It reminds me to savor the warmth of the season for what it currently is not how I wished it would be.
Thanks Allison for the thought provoking questions, that felt good, now I am going to get some hot chocolate! 🙂
This year I have been learning to accept myself and my many different layers without judging which is the right “me” to be. I am definitely a cup of coffee spiked with Irish Whiskey…business on the outside, party on the inside. Best of both worlds intertwined to create one deliciously confusing concoction.
It’s 3 AM, let’s post on Allison’s blog. I would be Jack and Coke. So much fun at first, then I ruin people’s lives. Kidding. Jack and Coke in moderation. Fun for everyone.
