What is Life Coaching?

Coaching is an ongoing relationship, which focuses on clients taking action toward the realization of their visions, goals, or desires. Coaching uses a process of inquiry and personal discovery to build the client's level of awareness and responsibility and provides the client with structure, support and feedback. The coaching process helps clients both define and achieve professional and personal goals faster and with more ease than would be possible otherwise. Life Coaching is not therapy. Rather coaching is designed for successful people who want and are capable of making positive changes.

The coach does not tell people what to do or give advice. Rather, the coach helps their clients define the changes they want to make and the goals they want to achieve. Life coaching takes the client from wishing, fantasizing and hoping to actually taking practical steps in a realistic productive way.

Sometimes we limit ourselves and cap our potential. Many talented people develop the belief that they are destined to remain in their current situation. This is usually the problem. How Does Coaching Work?

Allison Parr-Plasha initially meets with her clients for a two-hour strategy session either in person or over the phone. During this session the clients will be introduced to tools designed to heighten awareness around their core values, assess current levels of satisfaction in every area of their life and establish what they want to focus on throughout the coaching relationship. Allison typically meets with her clients once a week for forty five minute sessions. For local clients, she is available to meet in person. Otherwise, the sessions take place over the phone. The client is strongly encouraged to make a three month commitment to the coaching process as change takes time.

Why Not Give Coaching A Try?

 Sample sessions are available for anyone who is interested in experiencing "coaching in action."  During this session you will also receive an overveiw of coaching, have any questions answered and learn if coaching is the right course of action for you.  There is no charge for this half hour session.
